Long Version
Access 2 Play, Inc. is a Maryland-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to removing the financial, structural, and educational barriers that prevent underserved youth from competing in amateur sports. Founded by LyTia Blackmon and Eleazar Greene, A2P operates across Maryland with a mandate to ensure that no child sits out a season because their family cannot afford a registration fee, equipment, or travel cost.
Through direct youth athlete grants, club development funding, NIL education workshops, training clinics, and an elite national pipeline program, Access 2 Play serves youth athletes ages 5–18 in underserved communities across 12+ Maryland counties. In Maryland, 1 in 3 youth athletes from low-income households cannot afford to participate in organized sports — at an average annual cost of $1,200 per child. A2P was built to close that gap, permanently and at scale.
Access 2 Play, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization (EIN: 33-1921117). All donations are tax-deductible. Learn more at www.access2play.org.
