Built to create
real, lasting change

Access 2 Play is launching with a clear mandate: remove every financial and structural barrier standing between a child and the opportunity to compete. These are the goals we're driving toward — and the community we exist to serve.

In Maryland, 1 in 3 youth athletes from low-income households cannot afford to participate in organized sports. The average annual cost of youth sports participation has reached $1,200 per child per year — representing weeks of income for families below the state median.

The result is a talent pipeline that systematically excludes the very communities with the most to gain from athletic opportunity. Access 2 Play was built to close that gap — permanently, structurally, and at scale.

We are just getting started. Every dollar raised, every club funded, every athlete sponsored brings us one step closer to a Maryland where every child can compete.

"Too many talented kids never get the chance to show what they're capable of — not because they lack the skill, but because their family can't afford the registration fee. That's the injustice Access 2 Play was created to end."

What We Do

Six pillars of systemic change

Our programs work together to remove every barrier between a young athlete and their full potential.

Club Development Grants

We identify, apply for, and distribute grants to establish new amateur sports clubs throughout Maryland — building lasting infrastructure in underserved communities from flag football to competitive swim.

Organizational Funding

Youth Athlete Sponsorships

Direct grants to underserved youth athletes covering league registration, equipment, uniforms, and tournament travel — removing every financial barrier between a child and competition.

Direct Aid

Fundraising & Corporate Sponsorships

We actively seek corporate sponsors and charitable partners to grow existing programs — helping clubs purchase equipment, secure facilities, and expand into greater regional and national competition.

Growth Funding

Clinics, Camps & Workshops

Multi-day training camps, live coaching clinics, and mentorship workshops run by experienced coaches, former collegiate athletes, and industry professionals — developing skills and character simultaneously.

Skill Development

NIL Education Program

Comprehensive workshops empowering student-athletes to understand, protect, and leverage their Name, Image & Likeness rights — from brand building and social media to contract literacy and financial planning.

Education & Empowerment

National & International Pipeline

For clubs and athletes demonstrating elite potential, we create structured pathways to national governing bodies, Olympic development programs, and international competition — developing future Olympians.

Elite Development
Why We Exist

The problem is real.
The solution starts here.

1 in 3
Youth athletes from low-income households
cannot afford to participate in organized sports each year.
$1,200
Average annual cost of youth sports
per child — equipment, fees, travel, uniforms. Out of reach for millions.
340K+
Maryland children below the poverty line
out of 1.1M youth in the state — a gap no single organization was built to close.

Access Without Condition

No child should be turned away from a sport because of their family's income. Access 2 Play removes every dollar-denominated barrier — registration, equipment, travel, and fees.

Community at the Core

We don't parachute into communities — we grow from them. Our coaches, mentors, and volunteers are from the same neighborhoods as the athletes we serve, and that proximity drives real trust.

Sports as a Pathway

At A2P, sports are more than a game — it's a gateway to opportunity, connecting youth to scholarships, meaningful networks, NIL opportunities, and future careers.

Accountability & Transparency

We measure what we fund. Every grant cycle, every event, every dollar — tracked and reported. Our donors deserve to know exactly what their investment produced.

Excellence Over Charity

We don't hand out participation trophies — we build real pathways to real competition. The standard we hold ourselves to is the same one we hold our athletes to: show up, do the work, earn the result.

We're just getting started.

Access 2 Play launched because the problem is urgent and the gap is real. We don't have decades of history — we have a clear mandate, a tested model, and the urgency to act.
